Big Win for #Citationthemovie at the 2020 Ghana Movie Awards! A Great Way to End the Year.
Yyyeeeessssssss! We won! We ALL won at the 10th edition of the Ghana Movie Awards.
Without a doubt, one of the beauties of producing a film is being recognized and appreciated for your craft and hard work; and last night (the 30th of December) we were presented with 2 awards for our Netflix Original Movie; Citation. Our CEO, Kunle Afolayan was presented with the award for the Best Movie category, while Temi Otedola was given the award for the Best Actress – African Collaboration category! This is just the beginning of many awards to come 😎.
On behalf of the winners, we are honored by this, and we want to thank everyone, most especially our fans that have been a part of our journey till this very day.

Omo! 2020 was quite a year, and it’s worth penning down our journey through it. How time flies!
We started the year by introducing our Hub, Film school and the second phase of our project which includes our cinema structure, sound stage studio, with a restaurant and a bar. Ps: this second phase is close to completion! 💃
We moved on to our noteworthy partnership with Netflix where our CEO got featured in the “By Africa, for Africa” campaign video, titled ‘Made by Africa, Watched by the world’. We also stood in as a Netflix representative in Nigeria to reward and nurture the great craft of the Ikorodu Bois.
We also welcomed quite a number of notable individuals at the Hub like the Special Adviser and his team, the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Consul General and the French Delegates, the Director General of the National Film and Video Censors board, to name a few.
We went on to screen our Netflix Original Movie Citation at Obafemi Awolowo University, premiered the movie at Terra kulture before its official release on the 6th of November. In addition, we made available for streaming the soundtracks in the Movie (Click Here to stream)
Finally, we began a new KAP Magic. An extraordinary journey with a group of people we’ve never worked with. 2021 is definitely going to be lit! 🔥
