We embarked on the journey of shooting Anikulapo on 21st January, 2022 and wrapped up on 29th February 2022, totalling at 6weeks of production.

It took a village to shoot Anikulapo and we had the best hands on deck.

Steering the ship of this movie saw us encounter storms that we were able to weather, thanks to team work and synergy.

It wasn’t an easy one but our grit and tenacity saw us through. Though members of the cast and crew worked hard, they had fun while at it.

Shooting on set at KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort, has been both beautiful and challenging because it’s a new experience for us.

This is not like the regular film set where we make use of already existing infrastructure or build scenarios on make-believes.

Anikulapo had us bring the past into the future through Realism.
According to film reference, cinematic realism refers to the verisimilitude of a film to the believability of its characters and events. This realism is most evident in the classical Hollywood cinema.
Under the filmmaking expertise of Kunle Afolayan, every other industry expert needed to get the job done came together, bringing their different skill set to birth the most anticipated film of the moment.

It was an eye opening experience for us, a challenging project, a bonding period as we all made new friends and strengthened the bond of the existing ones and of course, we learned new things.

Bimbo Ademoye, Hakeem Kae Kazeem, Kunle Remi, Sola Sobowale, ADEBAYO Salami, Moji Afolayan, Faithia Balogun, Ojopagogo to mention a few brought their A-Game in playing their parts and it was so beautiful to see.

A tree doesn’t make a forest, when Anikulapo is unveiled, remember that hundreds of people made it possible.

Now that all is set and done on the field, the final stage of production commences, post-production.
We say a big thank you to everyone who has been a part of this great work.

The end is just the beginning of the birth of Anikulapo.

It is as sure as daylight that Anikulapo is a game changer.
