Following the recent launch of Femi Adebayo\u2019s Yoruba epic Jagun Jagun<\/em> on the 10th of August and the star-studded event, Lights, Camera\u2026 Naija!<\/em><\/strong> In Lagos on Sunday the 13th, Netflix, one of the world\u2019s leading entertainment services, shared an exciting and diverse slate of upcoming films and series – which include returning fan-favorites’ that will land on the service throughout the last quarter of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming slate of Nigerian stories that span various genres and themes include new local films and series from Kunle Afolayan, Editi Effiong, Mo Abudu, Charles Okpaleke and Kemi Adetiba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The titles are currently in different stages of production and will make their debut on Netflix once completed to over 238 million members around the world in more than 190 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Films currently in the cache of Kunle Afolayan are;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. IJOGBON<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ijogbon is a coming-of-age drama-adventure film about four teenage youths from a rural village in South-West Nigeria who stumble across a pouch of diamonds and conceal it, to grave repercussions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story is created by director Kunle Afolayan and produced by Golden Effects Pictures. The cast features Ruby Akubueze, Kayode Ojuolape, Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa; Fawaz Aina of Ikorodu Boiz; Yemi Solade; Gabriel Afolayan and Bimbo Manuel.<\/p>\n\n\n

An\u00edk\u00fal\u00e1p\u00f3 series is the spinoff of the much-beloved Yoruba epic, An\u00edk\u00fal\u00e1p\u00f3 which will make its return to the screens as a four-part sequel following the success of An\u00edk\u00fal\u00e1p\u00f3 the movie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
