We Welcome the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Consul General and French delegates

On the 10th of October, we were delighted to witness the official courtesy visit of the French delegation in Nigeria led by the Ambassador; His Excellency, Monsieur Jérôme Pasquier in company with other senior envoys from the French embassy in Abuja, Consular office as well as the Alliance Française in Lagos.

Received by our CEO, Mr. Kunle Afolayan and members of staff at the hub, it was a great honor to have the French Ambassador leading a high-powered delegation that included the Consul General, Madame Laurence Monmayrant; the Regional Attaché for Audio Visual Affairs (Lagos), Yoann Talhouarne and the Director of the Alliance Française, Charles Courdent. Also joining us to welcome the French delegates were the friends of the house; Mr. Steve Ayorinde, the former commissioner for Tourism, Art and Culture and Mr. Yinka Oyedeji, an artist manager/show promoter. It was heartwarming to have the delegates commend our productions and our passion to promote the African culture through our craft and expertise.

The delegation was taken on a tour of the hub, watched the trailer of our latest film, Citation, which will premiere on Netflix on November 6 and engaged the Management of Golden Effects and Kunle Afolayan Productions in a mutually beneficial talks bordering on exhibitions, film production and distribution as well as the proposed KAP Film and Television Academy.

Since inception, the hub has been a cultural center that is dedicated to creating an enabling environment for art, culture, the entertainment industry, and tourism. Overtime, we’ve received the support of prominent individuals like the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor of Tourism, Art and Culture; Mr. Solomon Bonu, the CEO of Culturatti; Idris Aregbe to name a few.
In view of this, we will continue to promote the African Culture in Nigeria.
