His Royal Majesty Oba Elegushi Visits KAP Film Village & Resort

The serene grounds of KAP Film Village and Resort in Oyo State came alive with royal elegance as His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Lagos, paid a special visit to the creative haven founded by Kunle Afolayan, one of Nigeria’s most respected filmmakers and cultural ambassadors.

Accompanied by distinguished personalities including Hon. Olajide Adediran (Jandor) and Hon. Abisoye Fagade, the royal visit was more than a courtesy call — it was a celebration of Nigerian excellence, art, and innovation.

Upon arrival, the monarch was warmly received by Kunle Afolayan, who personally took him on a grand tour of the expansive resort. The Oba was shown around the lush property, and different accommodations, where he admired the tasteful design and breathtaking panoramic view that overlooks the natural beauty surrounding the resort.

The entourage later enjoyed a sumptuous meal at the resort’s restaurant, where they relaxed and shared conversations about the intersection of culture, creativity, and community development — themes deeply rooted in both the Oba’s and Afolayan’s personal philosophies.

During the visit, the royal guests also stopped by the KAP Film and Television Academy Residency Program, where young students were immersed in hands-on learning experiences in filmmaking and storytelling.

His Majesty expressed delight at the initiative, commending Kunle Afolayan for creating such a space where creativity meets opportunity.

The day was marked by laughter, camaraderie, and mutual admiration, reflecting a shared commitment to nurturing Nigeria’s cultural and creative heritage.

As the sun set over the resort’s iconic landscape, it was clear that the visit wasn’t just a royal tour — it was an affirmation of what’s possible when tradition meets vision.

At KAP Film Village and Resort, the story continues — one that beautifully weaves together film, culture, and the spirit of Nigeria.
