On Sunday the 28th of May 2023, the Ministry of special duties and intergovernmental Affairs awarded the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) distinction to Kunle Afolayan and other notable Nigerians across various industries.
This is a national honor that is well deserved for their service to the growth of the entertainment, arts and culture of Nigeria.
This is totally unexpected, I am thankful to the Federal Government for honoring me. I believe so much in my country, so this is befitting. God bless Nigeria

The recipients of the OON award will be presented medals and certificates on the 1st of June 2023.
